My activism started as a little kid at protests and events for Afghanistan, but it became official when I met Dr. Jane Goodall. I was 21 and about the same age that she was when she first went to Tanzania. She invited me to speak at a Roots & Shoots Summit in the state of Washington. I knew that it was a sign that I should go to Afghanistan. So a year later I did. And everything in my life changed...
